Founded in 1844, the National Museum of Serbia is the largest and oldest museum in the country, housing over 400,000 objects. Its collections span from Prehistory to the Modern Period, featuring the Miroslav Gospel (c. 1186), archaeological finds from Vinča and Lepenski Vir, and European masterworks by Picasso, Matisse, and van Gogh. Open Tue–Thu & Sat–Sun 10:00–18:00; free admission on Sundays.
