BITEF, the Belgrade International Theatre Festival founded in 1967, is one of the oldest and most influential theatre festivals in Europe, held every autumn. It presents bold contemporary theatre and dance from around the world at venues including Bitef Theatre, the Yugoslav Drama Theatre and the Sava Centre. The 59th edition is expected in late September and early October 2026.
