1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies (and similar technologies like local storage) to make Belgrade Life work properly and, with your consent, to understand how the site is used.
2. The categories we use
Necessary
These are required for the site to function and can't be switched off. They include your login session (via Supabase authentication), your theme preference (light/dark), and the cookie that remembers your cookie consent choices.
Analytics
If you consent, we use Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are popular), so we can improve it. These only load if you switch this on.
Marketing
We currently collect this preference but don't yet run any marketing/advertising scripts on the site. If that changes, this policy will be updated.
3. A note on maps, ratings and spam protection
Venue pages embed a live Google Map and Google rating, and our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (a privacy-friendly captcha). These load whenever you view those pages or use those forms, regardless of your analytics/marketing choice, because we treat them as necessary for the core functionality of the Service (showing you where a venue is, and keeping our forms free of spam). Using these pages/forms means data such as your IP address is shared with Google and/or Cloudflare respectively — see their own privacy policies for details.
4. Managing your choice
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in our footer, or by clearing your browser's local storage and cookies for this site to see the consent banner again.
