About Belgrade Life
Belgrade Life is an English-language city guide to Belgrade, Serbia, covering what is on in the city, where to eat, drink and go out, local services that work with foreigners, and practical guides to living here. The site is also available in Serbian, and in Turkish for the guides and events we have translated.
Who runs it
Belgrade Life is published by Massivate, which also builds and runs the site.
How we check places
Before a place goes into the directory, we confirm that it is open and that its address, map location and details match what the place publishes itself: its website, social accounts and map listing, along with recent reviews or press. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out instead of guessing.
Owners can claim their page for free and keep their hours, photos and contact details up to date. When a place closes, we take it off the directory.
How we list events
We update the calendar every week from venues, organisers and ticket sellers. Each event shows the date, start time, venue and ticket prices when they are published, and includes links to where tickets are sold. Belgrade Life does not sell tickets. When an event is postponed or cancelled, we update its page, but dates can change at short notice, so check with the organiser before you go.
How we write and update guides
The guides cover paperwork, neighbourhoods, transport, food and nights out. Each one shows the date it was last updated. When we revise a guide, we check prices, opening hours and rules against official sources such as government offices, institutions and the places themselves, and link to those sources.
Sponsored listings and ads
Businesses can list themselves for free. Paid plans add options like member offers, visitor statistics and a featured spot. Featured places and ads are always marked as sponsored, and everything else is ordered by name.
