Ada Huja

A former island, now a peninsula on the right bank of the Danube between Karaburma and Višnjica, with roughly a kilometre of arranged quay.

About

A former island, now a peninsula on the right bank of the Danube between Karaburma and Višnjica, with roughly a kilometre of arranged quay. The waterfront carries walking and cycling paths, benches facing the river, futsal and volleyball courts and a children's playground, alongside the KartLand go-kart circuit, three tennis courts and a marina that runs boat trips downstream. Belgrade dumped its municipal waste here from 1960 until the landfill moved to Vinča, and city plans now set aside the larger part of the peninsula, over 100 hectares, as green and recreational space. Buses 25P, 32, 74 and 202 run along Višnjička street.
