Košutnjak is a 330-hectare park-forest in Čukarica that was a royal hunting ground until it opened to the public in 1903. Deciduous and coniferous woods are threaded with walking, running and cycling trails, and the park includes a sports-recreation centre with pools, playing fields and several traditional restaurants. It is one of Belgrade's main urban forests and a popular escape for exercise and picnics.
