About

Belgrade's oldest pastry shop, founded in 1851 by Mustafa Pelivan, a Gorani wrestler who paid for it with his prize money. The original shop near Stambol Gate was destroyed in the bombing of April 1941, and the family reopened at this address on Bulevar kralja Aleksandra that August. It is known for its ice cream in summer and for boza and wheat or chestnut purée with whipped cream in winter, alongside baklava, halva and cakes such as srneća leđa.
