About
Svetosavski plato is the landscaped square around the Temple of Saint Sava on top of Vračar hill, about 134 metres above sea level. The 5.9-hectare complex combines lawns, tree-lined paths, children's playgrounds and the fountain in front of the National Library of Serbia, with monuments to Karađorđe and Saint Sava. Tradition places the 1595 burning of Saint Sava's relics here, and the plateau was protected as a cultural-historical site in 2021. Karađorđev park, on the southern slope, is a separate park.
